USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Cross Country National Coaches' Poll

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) released its third cross country national rankings of 2025 Wednesday, and Mines held strong with the men ranked #2 and the women ranked #4.

Both Oredigger rankings are the same as the USTFCCCA preseason poll and the first list of the season. Mines maintained its standing after running its 2025 season opener last Saturday at the Roadrunners Invitational hosted by MSU Denver at Washington Park. The Oredigger men claimed team gold in the 8K race. They were anchored by Chandler Wilburn who was third overall and the top collegiate finisher. He helped Mines tally 26 points and take down three other ranked programs along with NCAA Division I Colorado State. In the women's race, the Orediggers showcased their youth with multiple Mines runners making their collegiate debuts. Avary Catchings was the top Oredigger finisher, taking 22nd. Mines' women finished fifth overall behind two ranked teams, one team receiving votes and NCAA Division I Colorado State.

The top of the men's rankings featured Wingate for a third consecutive time. Adams State was #1 in the women's poll. Other ranked men's teams from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference included Adams State (#3), Colorado Christian (#5), Western Colorado (#8), UCCS (#14), and Fort Lewis (#18). Ranked women's teams from the RMAC, in addition to Adams State and Mines were #7 Western Colorado, #8 UCCS, #10 Fort Lewis, #15 CSU Pueblo, #17 Colorado Christian, and #28 Colorado Mesa.
