The Orediggers Men's Club Soccer team showed heart and resilience in their Saturday evening matchup against Colorado Mesa University, battling back from a two-goal deficit to secure a 3-3 draw in Golden.
Colorado Mesa struck early and carried momentum through much of the first half, building a 3-1 advantage. But instead of folding, Mines regrouped and began to mount a response. The Orediggers tightened defensively and began pushing numbers forward, eventually pulling one back before halftime to make it 3-2.
The second half was defined by Mines' relentless pressure. With Mesa struggling to clear their lines, the Orediggers capitalized, finding the equalizer to bring the score level at 3-3. Despite both teams generating late chances, the defenses held firm as the match ended in a hard-fought draw.
While the Orediggers came away without a win, the comeback underscored the squad's determination and ability to adjust under pressure. The tie keeps momentum rolling as Mines looks ahead to the next stretch of their fall campaign.
