The Colorado School of Mines women's rugby team continued their undefeated season with a commanding 33–19 home victory over Division II opponent Colorado Mesa University on Sunday in Golden.
From the opening whistle, the Orediggers showed their depth, physicality, and relentless defense.

Colorado Mesa managed to find the try zone three times in the first half, but the Orediggers locked down after the break, holding the Mavericks scoreless for the entire second half while piling on points of their own. Sophomore standout Piper Lee led the charge with three tries and three conversions, once again proving to be a difference-maker on both sides of the ball. Aliya Lynn and Maddy Snodgrass each added a try to round out Mines' scoring on the day.

The Oredigger defense was relentless. Jade Leveille set the tone with 12 tackles and no misses, while captain Aliya Lynn added 11 perfect tackles and Emma Acker contributed 8 more without a single miss. Ellie Choi, Mckenzie Williams, and Lee also came through with key defensive stops that shut down Mesa's second-half attack. In the forwards, Jocelyn Miller anchored the pods with steady ball security and smart decision-making, giving Mines the platform they needed to dominate possession and wear down Mesa's defense. With the 33–19 victory, Mines not only defended their home field but also made a statement, knocking off a Division II opponent despite being a Division III program.

The Orediggers remain undefeated this season and continue to build momentum toward their long-term goal of establishing themselves as a powerhouse in women's collegiate rugby. The team now turns its attention to the next challenge, ready to keep the streak alive and push closer to a championship run.
