TULUM, Mexico - Colorado School of Mines closed the Shootout at PGA Riviera Maya in eighth place as their lineup clustered together over the closing 18 holes in Mexico.
The Orediggers shot the same as they did on Monday, a team 308, to land at +56, a shot behind Colorado Mesa and a shot up on Lubbock Christian. West Texas A&M (+29) won by 10 strokes over CSU Pueblo and UT Tyler.
In the end, only three strokes separated Mines' five golfers led by
Colt Tenpenny, who finished T21 at +14 following a final-round 79.
Lukas Taggart maintained his Monday momentum to rise to T26 at +16 with his 75 - Mines' low round of the day - and
Giacomo Gaggero,
Lucas Schulte, and
Liam Allan all finished tied for 28th at +17. Gaggero carded 76, Schulte 78, and Allan 79 on Tuesday.
Colorado Christian's Peyton Jones won medalist honors at +1, a stroke ahead of Cal State East Bay's Easton Hether.

BROOMFIELD, Colo. - A trio of Orediggers wrapped up play in the Les Fowler Individual at Broadlands GC against a competitive Division I field.
Max Lange and
Eric Casademont Vinyoles tied for 24th at +6 after Casademont Vinyoles shot 72 and Lange 76 in Tuesday's final round.
Zach Shallat carded a 76 to end up T32 at +13.
No team scoring was kept at the tournament, which was won by Long Beach State's Steven Deutsch at -9 following his tournament-record 63 on Tuesday.
