GOLDEN, Colo.
- Colorado School of Mines has entered the national polls for the first time this season, ranked #24 in this week's D2football.com Top 25.

The Orediggers are also receiving votes in the AFCA Coaches' Top 25, as they have been since the preseason. Mines was last ranked in Week 10 of the 2024 season.

Mines got the 2025 campaign off to a winning start with a 33-31 win at West Texas A&M in Week 1, getting past the Buffs' high-tempo offense with some timely defensive stops, three touchdown passes from Joseph Capra, and a key safety by Justin Vaughn to open the fourth quarter.

The Orediggers open at home this Saturday, hosting Washburn at noon at Marv Kay Stadium.
