USTFCCCA TFRI Rankings
NEW ORLEANS - The Colorado School of Mines men's and women's track & field teams are both in the top 10 of the first USTFCCCA rankings of the indoor season.
The Oredigger women open at #6 - tied for their best-ever indoor ranking- and the men sit at #7. Those rankings reflect two strong weekends of competition so far this season that has seen Mines set a dozen top-10 NCAA marks and 19 NCAA provisional performances overall. The USTFCCCA rankings are calculated based on national performance list rankings.
The men are led by
Tim Thompson, who sits #2 in the 800m, and both the 4x400 relay and
Paul Knight in the 5,000m rank #6 with
Alejandro Philippart #8 in the long jump.
Brock Drengenberg is #9 in the mile and
Dawson Gunn (#10) and
Ethan Grolnic (#13) are both inside the top 15 in the 5K. For the women,
Emily LaMena owns the nation's #2 5K performance and
Violet Williams remains #2 in the long jump, with
Grace Strongman (#3),
Margaux Basart (#7), and
Sierra Wall (#10) highly ranked in the 5K.
Jennifer Jarnagin is #9 in the weight throw, and
Imani Fernandez-Gorbea is #11 in the 800m.
Mines is set to host the Winter Classic & Multi this Friday and Saturday at Steinhauer Fieldhouse.
