Colorado School of Mines Men's Ultimate continues its fall tournament schedule this weekend as the Orediggers travel to Greeley, Colo., for the COWaBunga Classic at the University of Northern Colorado on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 17-18.

COWaBunga Classic
Dates: Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 17-18
Location: Greeley, Colo.
Site: University of Northern Colorado
The COWaBunga Classic will provide two days of competition as the Orediggers continue preparing for the remainder of their fall season. With both squads gaining experience in Fort Collins last weekend, Mines will look to put together more consistent performances on both sides of the disc.
Mines X enters the tournament focused on building offensive consistency and capitalizing on defensive opportunities. The squad demonstrated its ability to compete in close games last weekend and will look to translate that experience into stronger results in Greeley.
Mines Y will look to carry its momentum into the weekend after finishing the Choice City Kickoff with three consecutive victories. The squad's ability to adjust its offensive approach and maintain defensive pressure will be important as it faces another weekend of tournament competition.
The COWaBunga Classic also gives both teams an opportunity to continue developing their younger players and strengthening connections across their rosters. With multiple games over two days, maintaining energy and making adjustments between matchups will be key for the Orediggers.
Building on Last Weekend
Mines opened its fall tournament schedule at the Choice City Kickoff in Fort Collins on Oct. 10-11, with Mines X finishing 1-5 and Mines Y going 3-3.
Both teams showed significant improvement throughout the weekend, highlighted by Mines Y's undefeated Sunday and a competitive 12-10 matchup between the two Oredigger squads.
Looking Ahead
Following the COWaBunga Classic, Mines will have nearly a month away from tournament competition before traveling to Columbia, Mo., for Missouri Loves Company on Nov. 14-15.
For now, the Orediggers turn their attention to Greeley, looking to build on their early-season progress and put together a strong showing at the COWaBunga Classic.
