GOLDEN, Colo. — Mines Club Tennis returns home this weekend to host the Mines Oredigger Classic, bringing club tennis teams from across Colorado to Rolling Hills for two days of competition on Oct. 17-18.
The tournament will feature 12 teams divided into three pools, with Colorado State, the University of Denver, the University of Northern Colorado and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs joining Mines for the weekend. With three Mines squads in the field, the Orediggers will have an opportunity to showcase the depth of their club program while competing on their home courts.
Pool play will set the stage for the weekend, with each group featuring a mix of familiar regional opponents. Mines C will compete in Pool 1 against Colorado State A, Denver B and Northern Colorado B. Mines B will play in Pool 2 alongside Denver A, UCCS A and Colorado State C. Mines A will round out the Oredigger lineup in Pool 3, facing Northern Colorado A, UCCS B and Colorado State B.

Across the three squads, the Orediggers will look to build chemistry in singles, doubles and mixed doubles while working toward strong results throughout pool play.
With 12 teams and three pools, the weekend promises a full slate of matchups and a chance for Mines to make the most of its home-court advantage. The event also gives the Mines club tennis community an opportunity to welcome regional programs to Golden and showcase the team's continued growth.
The Mines Oredigger Classic begins Saturday, Oct. 17, and continues Sunday, Oct. 18, at Rolling Hills in Golden. Play is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. both days.
