Mines Club Triathlon heads to Boulder City, Nevada, on Saturday, Oct. 31, to compete in the Pumpkinman Triathlon. The early-morning event will challenge athletes across multiple disciplines, testing their endurance, pacing, and ability to transition between swimming, cycling, and running.
The Pumpkinman Triathlon takes athletes through the Lake Mead area before finishing in historic Boulder City. Depending on the race distance, athletes will complete a swim, a bike course with challenging hills, and a run through town. The event offers both sprint and Olympic distances, giving competitors different challenges to take on.
With an early start, preparation and race-day execution will be important for the Orediggers. Athletes will need to manage their energy across each leg of the course while maintaining a steady pace and pushing toward the finish line.
Mines will look to represent the program well in Nevada and put its training to the test against competitors from across the region. The team will take on the Pumpkinman Triathlon on Halloween weekend, adding a unique seasonal setting to the final push through the course.
