Colorado School of Mines Club Esports put together an impressive multi-game week across Rocket League, League of Legends, Valorant, and Rainbow Six Siege, earning key wins and showcasing depth across varsity and junior varsity squads.

Rocket League Varsity

Rocket League Varsity opened Friday night with a hard-fought 3–2 loss to the University of British Columbia Okanagan. Mines came out strong, winning Game 1 (4–0) and Game 2 (4–3), but momentum shifted late. Game 3 ended in a narrow overtime loss during a Rule 1 2v2 scenario, followed by close defeats in Games 4 and 5.

Later that evening, Mines responded emphatically with a dominant 3–0 sweep of Georgia Tech. The Orediggers were flawless defensively, posting shutouts in all three games with scores of 6–0, 5–0, and 2–0. Rocket League athletes Jack Cowden, Keet Holdridge, and Trevor Proskovec anchored a complete team performance.

League of Legends Challenger

League of Legends Challenger opened its season with a strong 2–0 victory over Alexandria Technical & Community College. Game one was controlled from start to finish, with Mines allowing just five total deaths over 28 minutes. Standout performances came from Mason Ngo, AJ Owen, Alex Eshelman, Keagan Veitch, and Ryder Demo as the team executed clean rotations and objective control.

Game two tested Mines' adaptability after losing early neutral objectives. The team regrouped, made key tactical adjustments, and flipped the momentum by securing dragon soul and Baron Nashor before closing the match with a decisive midlane push.

League of Legends Varsity

League of Legends Varsity earned a 2–0 victory over Oklahoma Christian University by forfeit. The roster featuring Seth Fry, Aidan McIntyre, Colin Ngo, Nathan Okimoto, and Jonah Oliver remains unbeaten on the week as conference play continues.

Valorant Junior Varsity

Valorant JV delivered one of the most dominant performances of the weekend, sweeping DePaul University 2–0 with convincing 13–4 and 13–3 map wins. Brenden Murphy earned MVP honors after totaling 35 kills across both maps. Strong supporting performances came from Jadon Beacham, Dustin Dole, Tristen Erpelding, Benny Huang, and Glenn Pocasangre-Cooper, with effective team coordination throughout the series.

Rainbow Six Siege Varsity

Rainbow Six Siege Varsity closed the week with a 2–0 loss to the University of Texas at Tyler. The roster, featuring Ian Atencio, Zadock Bisett, Varka Carter, Alex Davis, Michael Goertz, Liam Holan, Brodie Kimbell-Jack, and Maximillian Smick, gained valuable experience against a strong opponent as the team continues to develop.
