The Colorado School of Mines Ice Hockey hits the road this weekend for a pair of ACHA matchups against Northern Arizona University Ice Hockey, with games set for Friday and Saturday night in Flagstaff.
Mines will open the series on Friday, February 20, with puck drop scheduled for 8:30 p.m., before returning to the ice on Saturday, February 21, at 8:00 p.m. Both games will be available to watch live.
Players to Watch
Mines enters the weekend powered by one of the most productive blue lines in the division. Freshman Brady Sorrentino leads all Orediggers with 42 points (14 goals, 28 assists) in 25 games, anchoring the defense while driving offense from the back end.
Up front, Nathan Cote has been a consistent scoring threat with 37 points on the season, while Ripken Renner adds depth and playmaking with 29 points. Captain Jordan Larese has also been highly efficient, posting 27 points in just 16 games, making him a key player to watch in transition.
On defense, Scott Macdonald complements Sorrentino with 22 points, giving Mines multiple options to generate offense from the blue line. Between the pipes, Mines will look to steady goaltending from Dylan Eldridge to keep pace in what figures to be a fast, physical series.
What's at Stake
With February winding down, every road game carries added importance. Mines will look to bring consistency across all three periods, limit turnovers, and capitalize on scoring chances as it closes out the month away from home.
Fans can follow along live both nights as the Orediggers take on Northern Arizona in Flagstaff.
