The Colorado School of Mines Men's Ultimate team delivered an impressive showing at the D3 Grand Prix tournament on February 14–15, exceeding expectations and finishing 4–2 on the weekend while breaking seed against a nationally competitive field.

Mines opened Saturday with a 13–9 win over Claremont College at 10:00 a.m., setting the tone early with disciplined offense and strong defensive pressure. Just under two hours later, the Orediggers secured another victory, defeating Occidental College 13–10. They capped off a perfect Saturday with a 13–9 win over University of Puget Sound, completing a 3–0 sweep on the first day of competition.

Sunday brought tough matchups to start the day. Mines fell 7–13 to Carleton College in the 8:15 a.m. round, followed by an 8–13 loss to Lewis & Clark College. The Orediggers responded in the final round with resilience, earning a 13–10 win over Macalester College to close out the tournament on a high note.

By the end of the weekend, Mines had defeated the #20, #16, and #9 ranked teams in the nation, marking a statement performance on the national stage. Breaking seed and finishing 4–2, the Orediggers proved they can compete with — and beat — some of the top Division III programs in the country.
