Both meets will have live results at the links above; neither meet will have live video coverage.

WHAT TO WATCH
Mines' day in Boulder will be highlighted by an elite 3,000m squad with six 2025 cross country all-Americans - Margaux Basart, Sierra Wall, Grace Strongman, Lexi Herr, Emily LaMena, and Paul Knight - getting in postseason qualifying in the event. A track-only meet, the Orediggers will also have entrants in the 200 (Crockett Becker, Eric Hill Jr.), 400 (Maya Evans, Elizabeth Prescott, Alex Dusseau, Logan Meade, Elijah Quinby), and 800m (Avary Catchings, Ty Krafft, Owen Schneider) races.

At one of the world's fastest indoor tracks at Arkansas' Randal Tyson Center, Mines will focus on middle distance with a trio of milers - Max Bonenberger, Brock Drengenberg, and Curtis Smela - entered along with half-milers Tim Thompson, Liam Currie, and Imani Fernandez-Gorbea and 400m specialist Jonah Fallon.

IN THE RANKINGS
Both Mines teams remain in this week's USTFCCCA rankings with the men at #11 and the women #8. In the EventSquad rankings, Mines ranks #1 in the women's 5,000m, #7 in the women's 3,000m, and #10 in the women's long jump, while on the men's side they hold top-10 rankings in the 5K (#3), 800m (#3), 3K (#7), and long jump (#8).

JARNAGIN WINS RMAC WEEKLY AWARD
Jennifer Jarnagin was named the RMAC Field Athlete of the Week on Wednesday after a record-setting performance at the Mountain Lion Open. Jarnagin broke the Mines weight throw record with a 19.82m toss, taking over the RMAC lead with the #6 performance in NCAA Division II this season. Her career-best coming into the meet was 18.99m, but she surpassed 19 meters five times in an impressive series, landing 19.82m on her final attempt.

LAST TIME OUT
Mines last competed at the UCCS Colorado Running Company Mountain Lion Open on Saturday with a full-team effort, led by Jarnagin's new weight throw record and qualifying efforts in the 3,000m led by Daniel Appleford and Gabi Boeckman. Jathan Busby led the sprinters with a 6.79-second 60m and Dominik Davis ran an RMAC-leading 8.11 60m hurdles while Thierry Asare set an NCAA-provisional 7.22m long jump.

RAMSEY-RUTLEDGE HONORED BY SPORTSWOMEN OF COLORADO
Distance runner Jenna Ramsey-Rutledge was honored as the state's Pacesetter of the Year by the Sportswomen of the Colorado on Jan. 23, recognizing her incredible 2025 season. Ramsey-Rutledge was the 2025 NCAA Division II national champion in the indoor 5,000m, one of three all-America finishes on the track last year. Mines' first women's indoor national champion on the track, Ramsey-Rutledge set the D-II all-meets 5K record of 15:40.98 during the 2025 season on her way to earning RMAC Co-Track Athlete of the Year honors and the national title. Outdoors, she was the national silver medalist in the 10,000m and finished fifth in the 5,000m at the NCAA Championships after capturing the RMAC title on her home track in the 5K.

THE CHAMPS ARE HERE
It's been a tremendous last few years for the Mines women's track & field and cross country programs, and that reached a new level in October when the Orediggers won the RMAC women's cross country championship for the first time. With the title, Colorado School of Mines became the first institution in the RMAC to win conference championships in every sport it sponsors. In addition to the XC win, this decade, the women have won RMAC indoor track & field titles in 2023, 2024, and 2025, and won their first-ever outdoor crown in 2024 as well.

RECORD SETTERS
Mines has a strong group of active program recordholders, and continues to add to that group as the season develops. Last week, Jenni Jarnagin took over the program lead in the weight throw, and two weeks back it was Jonah Fallon and Tim Thompson setting the indoor 400m and 800m records, respectively, and they made up half of the record-setting men's 4x400 relay (along with Liam Currie and Logan Meade) that reset their program record in January. Mines added new records in December by Violet Williams in the long jump and Jathan Busby in the 60m dash. Franklin Rambo (shot put) set a new individual mark last year, while three of four legs of the distance medley relay (Brock Drengenberg, Fallon, and Thompson) return from last year's record-setting group. The women have Margaux Basart (3,000m) and Avery Wright (60m hurdles and pentathlon) as individual recordholders, while Grace Galvin is also a member of Mines' record-holding 4x400 and distance medley relays, joined by Imani Fernandez-Gorbea on the DMR.

LOOKING AHEAD
Mines will head to Gunnison for the RMAC Championships on Feb. 27 and 28.
