Mines Women's Club Lacrosse dropped a hard-fought matchup to Colorado State University on Sunday morning, falling 13–6 in a competitive contest.
The Orediggers came out ready to compete in the 10:00 a.m. matchup, battling throughout all four quarters against a strong CSU squad. Despite the final score, Mines showed resilience and continued to fight on both ends of the field.
The Orediggers worked to generate offensive opportunities and capitalized with six goals on the day. Defensive pressure and hustle plays helped Mines limit scoring stretches at key moments, but Colorado State ultimately came out with the win.
While the result did not fall in their favor, the matchup provided valuable experience as the Orediggers continue to develop chemistry and build momentum this spring. The team will look to take lessons from Sunday's contest and apply them moving forward in conference play.
