This weekend marked an exciting start to the season as the team introduced many new players to competitive play. Although the results did not fall in their favor, the experience served as an important foundation for growth and development.

The team opened the weekend against the United States Air Force Academy, falling 6–18. In their second matchup, they faced the University of Utah A team and battled hard in a 4–26 contest. Later, they took on Utah's B team, showing offensive improvement and stronger cohesion in an 11–23 game. The weekend concluded with a matchup against the University of Colorado Boulder, ending in a 4–24 result.

Despite the losses, the weekend was a positive introduction to game play for many new athletes. The team developed a strong sense of community and mutual support, laying the groundwork for continued improvement throughout the season.

A major highlight was seeing three new players record their first goals. Alex Anguiano, Emma Albright, and Sofija Circo each found the back of the net, showcasing confidence and growth under pressure.

The team looks forward to building on the skills gained this weekend in practice and carrying that momentum into upcoming competitions
