USTFCCCA TFRI Rankings
NEW ORLEANS - Colorado School of Mines' men's and women's track & field teams each ticked up one spot in this week's USTFCCCA national rankings.
The Oredigger women tie their best-ever ranking at #5, which they also achieved during the 2021 indoor season. The men hit #6 to continue a streak of 10 consecutive polls in the top 10.
Over the weekend, Mines added several elite performances to boost their standings, led by the men's distance medley relay, which notched the #3 D-II performance, and pole vaulter
Aidan Bennett, whose career-best 5.12m clearance ranks #10.
Nick Stade recorded the #15 heptathlon at the meet, and
Daniel Appleford also added the #15 5,000m performance at the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston. The Mines women's DMR also ranks highly at #5, adding to strong performances from earlier in the season.
The Oredigger women continue to rank atop the USTFCCCA's EventSquad rankings in the 5,000m led by
Emily LaMena,
Grace Strongman,
Margaux Basart, and
Sierra Wall, while the men's 5K group (
Paul Knight,
Dawson Gunn, Appleford, and
Ethan Grolnic) are #2 with the 800m squad of
Tim Thompson,
Liam Currie,
Owen Schneider, and
Ty Krafft ranked #5.
Mines is back in action this weekend at the Colorado Classic in Boulder.
