BOULDER, Colo. and COLUMBIA, Mo. - Colorado School of Mines' field athletes started the weekend with strong results at two meets on Friday.
Mines' vaulters got the two-day Colorado Classic started in Boulder with the women led by
Taylor Hindman, who took fourth getting over 3.65m.
Madeline Obuchowski equaled her career-best with a fifth-place 3.50m bar, and
Arabella Chen also cleared that height for eighth.
Aidan Bennett led the men with a fourth-place 5.00m height, with
Jay Peonio taking out a collegiate-best 4.70m for sixth and
Kai Miller finishing seventh at the same height.
At the Missouri Invitational,
Jennifer Jarnagin took second place in an entirely D-I field, marking a weight throw best of 18.34m, an NCAA provisional mark and the #7 throw in Mines history.
The Oredigger track athletes get their turn in Boulder on Saturday with the meet picking back up at 11 a.m.
