The Colorado School of Mines Ice Hockey welcomed former players back to the rink on March 13, 2026, for the program's annual Alumni Game, bringing together current Orediggers and past generations of Mines hockey for a night of competition and celebration.
The event showcased the strong tradition and continued growth of the program. Alumni representing multiple eras of Mines hockey returned to the ice to face the current roster in a spirited exhibition that highlighted both the competitive nature and camaraderie that define the Oredigger hockey community.
Throughout the game, fans were treated to fast-paced play and plenty of memorable moments as former players reunited with teammates and shared the ice with the next generation of Orediggers. The contest served as a reminder of the lasting connections built through the program, with alumni traveling back to support the team and reconnect with the Mines hockey family.
Beyond the action on the ice, the evening provided an opportunity for current players to interact with alumni who helped build the foundation of the program. The event continues to serve as an important tradition for Mines Hockey, strengthening ties between past and present players while celebrating the continued success of the program.
The Orediggers look forward to keeping the tradition alive in future seasons as Mines Hockey continues to grow both on and off the ice.
