COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Colorado School of Mines Club Ice Hockey team closed out its 2026 campaign on a high note, earning a weekend sweep over Colorado College with a 9-3 victory Friday night followed by a 1-0 forfeit win Sunday morning in ACHA action.

Friday: Mines 9, Colorado College 3

In the final full contest of the season, the Orediggers delivered one of their most complete offensive performances of the year. Mines erupted for nine goals in a dominant showing on the road, setting the tone early and never relinquishing control.

Scott Macdonald led the way with two goals, while Jordan Larese, Nathan Cote, Kaden Dorwart, Ripken Renner, and Henry Taliaferro each added a goal in the offensive showcase. The balanced scoring effort highlighted the depth that fueled Mines throughout the season.

The Orediggers controlled play across all three periods, combining strong puck movement with disciplined defensive zone play to keep Colorado College at bay. The nine-goal performance marked one of the team's highest-scoring outings of the spring and provided a fitting finish to the on-ice portion of the year.

Sunday: Mines 1, Colorado College 0 (Forfeit)

Mines officially capped the season with a 1-0 forfeit victory in Sunday's scheduled 8:30 a.m. matchup, securing the weekend sweep and bringing the 2026 season to a close.
