Mines Men's Club Lacrosse is set for a pivotal Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference (RMLC) weekend, traveling Friday night before returning home Saturday afternoon for back-to-back conference matchups.
Friday, March 6 – 8:00 PM
at University of Denver
Denver, CO
The Orediggers open the weekend on the road against the University of Denver in a key RMLC showdown. Playing in Denver presents a tough challenge, as conference road games always demand disciplined play and composure.
Mines enters the matchup looking to build off a strong 2-1 Arizona trip that showcased offensive firepower and improved chemistry. After battling back against ranked competition and finishing the trip with a statement win, the Orediggers will aim to start fast and avoid the slow openings that have tested them in recent games.
Defensive communication and transition play will be crucial against a Denver squad that can capitalize quickly on turnovers. Establishing possession early and limiting mistakes will be points of emphasis as Mines looks to set the tone for the weekend.
Saturday, March 7 – 1:00 PM
vs. University of Texas at San Antonio
Golden, CO | Stermole Track & Field Complex / Crouch Field Events Complex
The Orediggers return home Saturday afternoon to host UTSA at Stermole Track & Field Complex. The quick turnaround tests both depth and conditioning, but Mines welcomes the opportunity to compete in front of its home crowd.
After showing steady offensive growth in recent contests, including a 15-goal performance in their last outing, Mines will look to continue generating balanced scoring opportunities while tightening up defensive transition coverage.
With conference standings beginning to take shape, every RMLC matchup carries added importance. Saturday's home contest offers Mines a chance to protect its turf and build momentum as the season moves deeper into conference play.
With one road rivalry game and one home battle on deck, the Orediggers are focused on consistency, execution, and continuing to grow as a unit during a crucial stretch of the spring schedule.
