Golden, Colo. — Mines Club Esports completed a busy stretch of competition with six matches across Rocket League, Valorant, League of Legends, and Rainbow Six Siege. While several teams faced tough losses against strong opponents, the week was highlighted by dominant wins from Rainbow Six Siege Varsity and Valorant JV.
Rocket League Varsity vs Columbia College (Missouri)
Friday, February 27 | 5:30 PM (PCL)
Result: L, 0–3
Rocket League Varsity fell 0–3 to Columbia College in PCL action. Mines battled throughout the series but was unable to break through against Columbia's offensive pressure, resulting in a straight-set loss.
Valorant Varsity vs University of Hawaii

Result: L, 0–2
Valorant Varsity dropped a two-map series to the University of Hawaii. Despite competitive moments, Mines was unable to convert key rounds, falling 0–2 on the night.
League of Legends Varsity vs University of Alberta
Wednesday, February 25 | 6:30 PM
Result: L, 0–2
League of Legends Varsity was swept 0–2 by the University of Alberta. Alberta controlled both games, limiting Mines' ability to scale and contest objectives in the series.
League of Legends Junior Varsity vs Sam Houston State University
Monday, February 23 | 6:30 PM
Result: L, 1–2
League of Legends JV fell in a close three-game series to Sam Houston State University, 2–1. Mines secured one win in the set but ultimately could not close out the decisive third game.
Rainbow Six Siege Varsity vs William Penn University (Iowa)
Tuesday, February 24 | 6:30 PM
Result: W, 2–0
Rainbow Six Siege Varsity secured a clean 2–0 sweep over William Penn University. Mines executed strong defensive setups and coordinated attacks across both maps to earn the victory.
Valorant Junior Varsity vs Dickinson State University (N.D.)
Thursday, February 26 | 6:30 PM
Result: W, 2–0
Valorant JV delivered one of the most dominant performances of the season, sweeping Dickinson State 2–0 while extending an incredible 39-round win streak across two match days.
Playing with their full roster for the first time this season, Mines dropped only two rounds in the entire series, winning Bind 13–0 and Abyss 13–2. Four players finished the day at +14 or better in K/D differential.

Asterisks (Glenn) led the charge with 38 kills in the series and 94 kills across the week's two matches.

Wonderworld (Jadon) posted a semester-high 31 kills, finishing +21 with 10 assists.

NoodleWarrior (Tristen) delivered one of the most balanced performances of the match, going 28/13/13 while piloting Fade and Yoru.

Swizzle (Brendan) continued his strong form on Viper, finishing +14 in K/D across the two maps.

unoseemek (Dustin) contributed impactful utility and two crucial first kills in the closest rounds of the match.
No VOD was recorded for the series.
Week in Review
While Mines Esports faced challenging matchups across multiple titles, the week was capped by emphatic victories in Rainbow Six Siege and a record-setting performance from Valorant JV. The Orediggers continue to compete across a demanding spring schedule and will look to carry momentum from their recent wins into upcoming contests.
