PUEBLO, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines' throwers opened up the outdoor track & field season on Friday, competing in the hammer and javelin throws at CSU Pueblo's Dr. Dan Caprioglio Invitational.
Jennifer Jarnagin led Mines in the women's hammer with a third-place 54.23m best attempt, and
Audrey Ott started her season with a personal-best 47.87m, entering her into the Mines all-time top-10 performers list at #9.
Hayden Swim led the men's hammer with an 11th-place mark of 48.77m, with
Chandler Smoak debuting 14th at 46.97m and
Keaton Reiman throwing 46.14m for 16th.
In the men's javelin,
Kolby Denke hit 54.40m on his final attempt to place eighth overall and third among D-II throwers.
The Orediggers continue the meet Saturday with an 8 a.m. start to the action.
