GOLDEN, Colo. – Colorado School of Mines men's basketball guard Braydon Jacob added another academic laurel to his ledger this postseason as Tuesday he was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division II.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District Men's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Student-athletes who meet both athletic and academic standards laid out by the CSC Academic All-America Core Committee will be selected to advance to the Academic All-America ballot.

Jacob, a First Team Academic All-RMAC selection earlier this month, led the Orediggers with a team-best 3.89 GPA in Mechanical Engineering. The second-year freshman out of Castle Rock appeared in all 32 games with three starts this season and averaged 17.3 minutes, 4.2 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. He dished out 46 assists which was good for sixth on the team while shooting .336/.322/.800 and was fourth on the team with 29 three-pointers. Six times Jacob scored in double figures on the season with his best performance coming against #RV MSU Billings on December 20 when he scored 11 points on 4-5 shooting and was a perfect 3-3 from long range. He also scored in 13 of 15 games to end the season, during which time he shot .370 from the floor.
