WICHITA FALLS, Texas and ENID, Okla. -
Enzo Martínez's final-round 65 led Colorado School of Mines as the Orediggers wrapped up two tournaments on Tuesday.
Martínez rose 30 spots into the top 10 at the Midwestern State Invitational to finish tied for eighth with a sensational bogey-free -6 round, leading a +1 team round for the Orediggers, who rose to 10th overall at +28.
Mines had their best team round of the week led by Martínez, who caught fire at the end of his round with three birdies over a five-hole stretch to shoot 65 on the par-71 course. He ended up at even par for the tournament in recording his third top-10 of the season with his career-best score; it was the lowest individual round of the tournament.
Liam Allan finished T32 at +6 with his final-round 75, and
Lukas Taggart was also a leaderboard mover up 10 spots to finish T61 at +12 after a one-over 72 to close his week.
Colt Tenpenny was a stroke behind at +13 to finish T69 following his round of 73, and
Lucas Schulte shot 75 to end T88 at +19.
UT Permian Basin won the tournament at -2 with medalist Will Tate winning by four strokes at -10.
At the Oakwood Intercollegiate in Oklahoma,
Alexander Samuelsson continued to lead the Mines developmental squad with his T35 finish, carding a final-round 77 to land at +11.
Davis Kushner shot 78 to end up T42 at +14, tied with
Charlie Tran who shot 77, while
Devin Nguyen came in T50 (+16) after a final-round 77.
Eric Casademont Vinyoles carded 78 in his third round to finish T66 at +21.
The Orediggers are back in action Monday, March 30 at the Sam Proal Insurance Invitational in Pueblo.
