2025-26 CSC Academic All-District Women's Basketball Teams

GOLDEN, Colo. – Mines women's basketball had a quartet of Orediggers named Academic All-District Tuesday as Sofia Baldessari, Lindsey Jones, Jenna Shandy, and Emily Thomas were recognized by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
 
It's the first CSC Academic All-District nod for Baldessari and Jones, the second for Thomas, and the third for Shandy. Baldessari and Shandy both advanced to the ballot for CSC Academic All-America as well. Criteria for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams required honorees to be sophomores or above with individual, cumulative grade-point averages (GPA) of 3.5 or higher. Nominees also had to meet minimum participation percentages for the 2025-26 season.
 
Baldessari, a sophomore, claimed the accolade in her first year of eligibility thanks to a 3.50 GPA as a business engineering & management science major. She was also voted First-Team All-RMAC and D2CCA Second-Team All-Region earlier this month. Jones also earned the honor in her first year of eligibility after posting a 3.580 GPA in civil engineering. Shandy already secured a bachelor's degree from Mines in mechanical engineering with a 3.87 GPA and now boasts a 3.74 GPA in the engineering & technology management master's program. She was voted Second-Team All-RMAC this season as well. Thomas, who was also CSC Academic All-District at South Dakota Mines last season, touts a 3.53 GPA at Mines in quantitative biosciences & engineering.
 
Mines' women closed their 2025-26 campaign in the first round of the RMAC tournament. Additional postseason honors, awards, and signings will be announced at www.minesathletics.com and on social media.
