PUEBLO, Colo. - Three more records fell on the track as Colorado School of Mines competed in the Chuck Haering Classic at CSU Pueblo on Friday and Saturday.
Jonah Fallon tied the RMAC 200m record in his debut at the distance,
Tim Thompson reset his Mines 800m record, and
Aani Hardesty,
Elizabeth Prescott,
Imani Fernandez-Gorbea, and
Violet Williams ran the fastest 4x400 in program history to highlight the second weekend of outdoor competition.
Fallon, who had earlier paced Thompson in the 800m, ran a blistering NCAA-provisional 20.83 seconds under legal wind in the 200m, tying Adams State runner Jonah Vigil's time set on the same track in 2022. Fallon had set the Mines outdoor 400m record last week, and also owns the Mines and RMAC records indoors over 400m.
Thompson improved his own outdoor best with an NCAA-provisional 1:48.15 800m time, dropping a tenth off his time of 1:48.24 run in California last year. He wasn't the only fast half-miler on the track for the Orediggers as
Liam Currie became the fifth man in program history to run sub-1:50 with his career-best 1:49.74 time, while
Ty Krafft ran 1:56.67.

All four members of that relay also had standout individual performances on the track led by Williams, whose 11.91-second 100m dash was Mines' fastest since 2011 and makes her only the second sub-12.0 runner in program history. A week after running her outdoor-best 800m, Fernandez-Gorbea added a PR in the 400m with a second-place 57.06, moving her to #7 all-time in program history. Prescott ran a strong fourth-place 57.85,
Maya Evans clocked 1:00.40, and
Kaia Ward 1:01.30.Â
Elijah Quinby led Mines hurdlers running his personal-best time of 52.23 to win the men's 400m hurdles, while Hardesty was the women's runner-up in 1:00.74.
