Mines Men's Club Lacrosse is set to wrap up its regular season this week with a pair of home games at Stermole Track & Field Complex / Crouch Field Events Complex.
The Orediggers will host the University of Denver on Wednesday, April 1 at 8:00 p.m., before closing the season against Oklahoma State University on Saturday, April 4 at 9:00 a.m.
Midweek Matchup vs. Denver
Mines opens the final stretch with a midweek showdown against Denver in what is expected to be a competitive matchup. Facing a familiar in-state opponent, the Orediggers will look to bring intensity from the opening faceoff and set the tone early.
After emphasizing faster starts in recent games, Mines will aim to establish control through possession and disciplined offensive sets. Limiting turnovers and capitalizing on scoring opportunities will be key against a strong Denver squad.
Senior Send-Off Against Oklahoma State
The regular season finale on Saturday morning against Oklahoma State provides Mines with one last opportunity to build momentum heading into postseason play.
With a quick turnaround from Wednesday's game, depth and conditioning will again play an important role. The Orediggers will look to maintain defensive consistency while continuing to build on their offensive rhythm.
Saturday's matchup also serves as a chance to close out the home schedule on a high note, with the team aiming to deliver a complete performance in front of its home crowd.
Final Push Before Postseason
As the regular season comes to a close, every possession becomes more important. These final two games offer Mines a chance to sharpen execution, build confidence, and carry momentum into the postseason.
With two home opportunities remaining, the Orediggers will look to take full advantage and finish the regular season strong.
Faceoff is set for 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. Saturday in Golden.
