The Colorado School of Mines Triathlon Team wrapped up their 2025–2026 season in a big way at the USA Triathlon Collegiate Club Nationals in Gulfport, Mississippi, taking on one of the most challenging and competitive race environments of the year.
On Saturday morning, 17 Orediggers lined up for the Olympic distance race, ready to represent Mines on the national stage. The day opened with a demanding saltwater swim, immediately testing athletes before an even tougher transition that forced competitors to run through shallow water and across the beach into T1. Once on the bike, the course delivered no breaks, with a relentless headwind on the eastbound stretches pushing athletes to dig deep. Through every leg of the race, Mines showed toughness and determination against a technical, weather-affected course.
Luke Pisano led the charge for the men, finishing as the top male Oredigger with a strong time of 2:16:44. On the women's side, Anna Haemer continued her standout season, pacing the team with an impressive 2:28:16. From start to finish, it was a full team effort, with all 17 athletes rising to the challenge and competing with grit on a national stage.
On Sunday afternoon, the Orediggers were back in action for the Mixed Relay. Anna Haemer, Ben Farney, Alex Knauss, and Garrett Eadie took on the fast and furious super sprint format, where every second counts. The team executed strong efforts and quick transitions throughout the race, finishing with a time of 1:26:51 and securing 38th place.
A weekend defined by resilience, effort, and high-level competition, the Orediggers closed out their season with a performance to be proud of.
