Orediggers Unleash Offensive Explosion in Sweep of Denver

Colorado School of Mines delivered a commanding three-game sweep over the University of Denver Pioneers, showcasing explosive offense and dominant pitching throughout the weekend.

In the opening game, the Orediggers rolled to a 16–3 victory in 7 innings. Skylor Wild led the charge at the plate with three hits, while Christian McCollam had a massive performance with five RBIs. McCollam also dominated on the mound, striking out nine over six strong innings.

Mines kept the momentum going in the second game on April 4 at 11:00am, securing a 13–6 win. The offense stayed hot from start to finish, highlighted by a home run from Skylor Wild. Eli Benschoter provided a strong presence in relief, tallying eight strikeouts while allowing just three hits across four innings.

The Orediggers capped off the sweep in the third game later that day with a 16–6 win in 5 innings. Power and extra-base hits fueled the offense, including a home run from Matt Pane and two doubles each from Blake Lawson and Ryan Krischke.

Across all three games, Mines combined consistent hitting with strong pitching performances to overwhelm Denver and complete an impressive series sweep.
