Colorado Springs, Colo. — Colorado School of Mines Women's Club Soccer fell 3-0 on the road to the United States Air Force Academy on Saturday afternoon in Colorado Cup play.

After a scoreless first half, the Orediggers held strong defensively and matched Air Force's intensity throughout the opening 45 minutes. Mines limited opportunities and stayed organized in the back, keeping the match level heading into halftime.

The second half, however, saw momentum shift in favor of Air Force. The home side broke through early after the restart and added two more goals later in the half to secure the 3-0 result. Despite the scoreline, Mines continued to battle and showed resilience against a disciplined opponent.

While the result was not what the Orediggers were looking for, the strong first-half performance provides a foundation to build on as Colorado Cup play continues. Mines will look to regroup and carry that defensive effort forward into their next matchup.
