BOULDER CITY, Nev. - Liam Allan's six-under 66 led a strong start by Colorado School of Mines in the first round of the 2026 RMAC Championship at Boulder Creek.

All four of the Orediggers' scorers were under par as they reached -11 (277), eight shots back of leader Colorado Mesa and one behind second-place Fort Lewis. Westminster (-7), Colorado Christian (-5), CSU Pueblo (-3), and South Dakota Mines (+3) trail the Orediggers.

Allan sits alone in second place, a stroke off the individual lead after his 66, which saw him go bogey-free with identical 33s on the front and back nines. The freshman is averaging a white-hot 66 over his last three rounds (65-67-66 dating back to the Palm Valley Classic) as he trails only Colorado Mesa's Leo Lavalle (-7).

Consistent play by Enzo Martínez and Lukas Taggart put them at -2 and a tie for 15th following rounds of 70; Martínez bounced back from an opening-hole double-bogey with an eagle on the fourth, and then ripped off a four-under back nine to get in the red. Taggart, meanwhile, had an early bogey and then three birdies around the turn to get under par.

Lucas Schulte was Mines' fourth scorer with a steady 71 (-1) to be 19th, while Giacomo Gaggero is 26th at +1 and Colt Tenpenny is 38th at +5. Under a new format this year, the RMAC Championships is a "play six, count four" tournament, eliminating the sixth-man substitute allowed in previous years to instead let all six golfers play every round.

Monday's second round has been changed to an 8:15 a.m. PT shotgun start in anticipation of high winds in the afternoon. The Orediggers will go out on the back nine paired with Westminster, Fort Lewis, and South Dakota Mines.
