Mines Club Soccer Hosts Bracket Play Sunday with Championship Push in Sight

4/20/2026 12:36:00 PM

Colorado School of Mines Women's Club Soccer is set to host a crucial day of RMCSL Spring Tournament bracket play this Sunday, April 26, at Stermole Track & Field Complex, with the Orediggers eyeing a deep postseason run on their home field.

Mines opens the day at 12:00 p.m. against the University of Northern Colorado in a matchup that will determine advancement deeper into the bracket. Playing in Golden provides a key advantage for the Orediggers, who have consistently fed off the home crowd's energy throughout the season. With the stakes rising, Mines will look to bring a complete performance on both ends of the field.

The Orediggers have shown strong form entering tournament play, combining an organized defensive structure with timely scoring in the attacking third. That balance will be critical against a Northern Colorado squad looking to disrupt Mines' rhythm and extend its own postseason stay.

Following the opening match, Mines will return to action at 4:00 p.m. to face either Colorado Mesa University or the University of Denver, depending on earlier results. With two games in one day, managing energy, depth, and in-game adjustments will be essential as the Orediggers navigate a challenging bracket.

With home-field advantage and momentum on their side, Mines has a prime opportunity to continue its push toward a Spring tournament title.
