COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines has swept the RMAC Women's Athlete of the Week awards as
Sierra Wall earned the track honor and
Violet Williams field recognition on Thursday.
The freshman duo starred at two meets last weekend in the lead-up to the 2026 RMAC Championships, which begin Friday in Pueblo.
In her first time competing in the steeplechase, Wall ran a national-leading 10:08.83 at the Bryan Clay Invitational to break the Mines program record. Her time, which leads the RMAC by six seconds, made her the #20 all-time performer in D-II history in the event.
Williams broke the Mines program long jump record, leaping 6.15m at the Mines Midweek Invite. Williams' mark ranks #9 in NCAA Division II this season and leads the RMAC by 13cm. She already owns the Mines indoor long jump record, as well.
The Orediggers begin competition at the RMAC Championships Friday and continue through Sunday.
