Colorado School of Mines Club Esports delivered a strong week across multiple titles, highlighted by a perfect regular season finish for Valorant JV and back-to-back wins for Overwatch Varsity.
Valorant JV capped off its regular season in dominant fashion on March 31, sweeping the University of Redlands 2-0. With the win, Mines completed an undefeated 7-0 season and secured the No. 1 seed heading into the playoffs. The team showcased consistent coordination and composure throughout the match, continuing the level of play that has defined its season from start to finish.
Overwatch Varsity added to the momentum with a pair of impressive victories earlier in the week. On March 30, Mines took down UWU Chuddies 3-1, controlling the match with strong team play and clutch moments in key fights. The success carried into April 1, where the Orediggers earned another 3-1 win over Evolution. Once again, Mines demonstrated depth and adaptability, bouncing back quickly from dropped maps to secure the series.
Across all three contests, Mines Esports showed confidence and consistency, positioning both squads well as postseason play approaches. With Valorant JV entering the playoffs as the top seed and Overwatch Varsity building momentum, the Orediggers are poised to make a strong push in the weeks ahead.
