Golden, Colo. — Under the lights at Stermole Track & Field Complex, Colorado School of Mines Women's Club Soccer is set to host a key RMCSL matchup against the University of Colorado Colorado Springs on Wednesday night, kicking off a two-game week for the Orediggers.
Playing at home should provide an extra boost for Mines, who have relied on strong energy and communication on their home pitch. The familiarity of Stermole, combined with the support of the home crowd, could prove to be a difference-maker in what is expected to be a tightly contested match.
Following Wednesday night's contest, the Orediggers will quickly turn their attention to a road matchup on Saturday against Air Force. The weekend clash presents another important RMCSL test, as Mines looks to carry momentum from its home opener into a challenging environment at the Academy.
Kickoff on Wednesday is set for 7:30 p.m., and with playoff implications looming, fans can expect a competitive, high-energy stretch as the Orediggers look to defend their home turf and build momentum in Colorado Cup play.
