INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Colorado School of Mines will send 21 individuals and a relay to the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships as the field was announced on May 12.
Fifteen men and six women will compete for the Orediggers on May 21-23 at Emporia State's Welch Stadium, holding 23 total entries to the meet.

The men's squad is a mix of veterans and nationals newcomers headlined by 2025 podium finishers
Max Bonenberger (3,000m steeplechase),
Tim Thompson (800m), and
Jeremiah Vaille (10,000m) plus 2026 indoor all-Americans
Brock Drengenberg (800m),
Paul Knight (10,000m),
Dawson Gunn (5,000m), and
Jonah Fallon (400m). A large number of NCAA outdoor rookies will represent the Orediggers including
Daniel Appleford (5,000m),
Aidan Bennett (pole vault),
Liam Currie (800m),
Garrett Mackey (3,000m steeplechase),
Rowan Nicholas (10,000m),
Andreas O'Malley (1,500m), and
Elijah Quinby (400m hurdles).
Braden Struhs is making a repeat appearance in the 10K.
The Mines men will also compete in the 4x400 relay with Currie, Fallon, Thompson, and Quinby on the baton with
Logan Meade as an alternate.
The women have a comparatively smaller group of six, but all are top-eight seeds and that could add up to big team points.
Grace Strongman is the #1 seed in the 5,000m while double-qualifier
Emily LaMena ranks #2 in the 5K and #3 in the steeplechase, with freshman
Sierra Wall debuting outdoors with the #2 steeplechase seed.
Imani Fernandez-Gorbea is the #3 seed in the 800m, and
Jennifer Jarnagin (hammer throw) and
Aani Hardesty (400m hurdles) check in as the #8 seeds in their respective events.
