FORT COLLINS, Colo.
- Colorado School of Mines produced two personal-bests and continued its momentum toward the postseason competing at the Doug Max Invitational at Colorado State on Saturday.

Aidan Bennett improved his collegiate best in the men's pole vault by a centimeter, clearing 5.17m to move up a spot on the national list at #14. Bennett made four bars with only one miss through 5.17m before attempting 5.22m. Kai Miller cruised through his first two bars at 4.77m and had a good look at a would-be personal-best 4.92m. In the women's competition, Taylor Hindman went mistake-free through 3.81m before exiting on what would've been a career-best 3.96m.

On the track, Cole Fiorillo was one of three competitors to run under the meet record in the 3,000m steeplechase, clocking a third-place 9:20.11 against a D-I field. Paced by former Mines all-American Grant Colligan, Fiorillo just missed improving his NCAA-provisional converted time (9:05.76) after his strong RMAC Championships run last weekend. Andreas O'Malley ran a two-second personal-best in the 1,500m to push himself to the edge of national qualification, rallying on the final lap to cross in 3:50.59. Taking on a deep field that included three finishers under the meet and track records, O'Malley checks in at #29 on the national list after conversion (3:45.38).

Lily Cobb finished second in the women's javelin to cap the day, recording the second-best throw in program history - 42.59m - against D-I competition. Cobb went out over 40 meters four times in her series. Cobb closes her freshman season with three of the top four performances in Mines history, including the program record set in April.

The Orediggers will wrap up last-chance qualifying next weekend at Azusa Pacific.
