The Colorado School of Mines A Team put together a solid performance across four matches on April 24–25, finishing the weekend with a 3-1 record and earning third place in the silver bracket.
Mines opened the tournament with a strong 29-18 win over the University of Kansas at 9:00 AM on April 24, setting the tone early with consistent play across singles and doubles. Later that day, the team battled in a tight matchup against the University of Wyoming but came up just short, falling 21-24 in a closely contested match.
The Orediggers bounced back on April 25 with a dominant 30-9 victory over Colorado State University's B Team in their morning match, showcasing depth and control throughout the lineup. They carried that momentum into the afternoon, defeating the University of Colorado Colorado Springs 23-16 to close out the weekend on a high note.
In bracket play, Mines secured a third-place finish in the silver bracket, highlighted by standout doubles performances from Lily Sommer and Meghan Slaninka. Two matches during the weekend were decided by forfeit: Mines forfeited to the University of Texas at El Paso (0-30) on April 25, while Colorado College forfeited to Mines (30-0) on April 26.
Overall, the weekend reflected strong resilience and competitive play from the Mines A Team as they continued to build momentum late in the season.
