AZUSA, Calif. -
Aani Hardesty reset her 400m hurdles record to lead Colorado School of Mines on the final day of the Franson Last Chance meet at Azusa Pacific.
Hardesty became the first sub-:59 woman in Mines history with a 58.95 performance, besting her own program record of 59.17 set only two weeks ago at the RMAC Championships. Hardesty locked down her spot at the NCAA Division II Championships with the run, taking her from 16th into the national top-10 on the final weekend of qualifying. The junior has now set seven of the nine fastest times in program history this season, including three consecutive personal-bests.
Elsewhere on the track,
Elijah Quinby ran a 52.39 400m hurdle time in the men's race,
Logan Meade ran a 48.68 400m, and the men's 4x400 clocked 3:13.97.
With regular-season competition complete, Mines will await the release of the NCAA Division II Championship field on Tuesday, with that meet beginning May 21 at Emporia State in Kansas.
