GOLDEN, Colo. – Mines baseball placed five Orediggers on the College Sports Communicators' (CSC) Academic All-District baseball teams Tuesday morning.

Evan Bilter, Alex Dunagan, Brody Duvall, Ben Leiphart, and Tyler Pina each earned CSC Academic All-District distinction thanks to their work in the classroom and on the diamond. It marked the first such honor for Bilter, Dunagan, Duvall, and Leiphart, and the second straight for Pina. Bilter, Dunagan, Duvall, and Pina also advanced to the ballot for CSC Academic All-America. Criteria for the all-district squads require honorees to be sophomores or above with a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.5 while meeting minimum participation percentages in games played or games started.

Bilter claimed the distinction after starting all 54 games for the Orediggers while maintaining a 3.55 GPA as an undergraduate and a 4.00 GPA in his graduate courses. Dunagan also started every game for Mines and posted an unblemished 4.00 GPA as a mechanical engineering student. Duvall, in his first active season with the Orediggers, played in 48 games and churned out a 3.64 GPA in electrical engineering. Leiphart's GPA was unblemished at 4.00 across undergraduate and graduate courses as well. He played in 43 of Mines' 54 contests in 2026. Pina repeated as a CSC Academic All-District honoree after putting up a 3.84 GPA while pursuing his bachelor's degree in computer science and a 3.78 GPA while completing his master's degree in the same discipline.

The all-district squads were curated and quality controlled by a committee of college communication professionals. The 2026 CSC Academic All-America teams will be voted on by college sports communications professionals from across the country. Academic all-America selections will be announced later this summer.
