USTFCCCA Program of the Year Standings

NEW ORLEANS
- Colorado School of Mines has earned its best-ever finishes in the USTFCCCA's Program of the Year standings, reflecting a historic 2025-26 for the Orediggers.

The Mines women finished a best-ever second and the men tied their best finish in third, while the two together achieved the best combined finish in program history. The Program of the Year awards recognize overall success in cross country, indoor, and outdoor track & field by awarding points based on national championship finishes, with the lowest cumulative total being recognized as the overall Program of the Year.

The Oredigger women earned best-ever finishes in both cross country (2nd) and outdoor track & field (T3rd) while also finishing ninth indoors for 14.5 points, only 2.5 points behind leader West Texas A&M. The women also captured their first-ever RMAC cross country championship last fall. The men had a consistently strong year with a third-place cross country finish and ninth- and 11th-place showings indoors and outdoors, respectively, to compile 23 points for third; they also won the RMAC outdoor team title.

Under cross country head coach Chris Siemers and track & field head coach Matt Sparks, the women's top previous finish was fifth in 2023-24, while the men were also third in 2017-18.
