NABC Team Excellence Awards & Honors Court
 
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the organization's academic awards for the 2025-26 season Wednesday as the Colorado School of Mines men's basketball team was named a recipient of the Team Excellence Award while three individuals were named to the Honors Court list.
 
To be eligible for the NABC Team Academic Award, a team must have achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year, while the NABC Honors Court recognizes players who are juniors, seniors, or graduate students academically, and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2025-26 academic year.
 
Jackson Brennan, Dom Girish, Silas McCurnin and Ryan Pramenko were the three Orediggers recognized for individual excellence in the classroom this season.
 
Brennan sports a 3.78 GPA in Business Engineering & Management Science following his first year at Mines. He joined the Orediggers following a stint at Santa Ana College, but did not see game action in the 2025-26 season due to injury.
 
Girish wrapped up his time in Golden in May when he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a 3.53 GPA. The fourth-year junior did not see game action in 2025-26 season, as he missed the year with injury. In his career, Girish appeared in 31 games over two seasons of action for 99 minutes and shot .615 from the floor and .800 from three with eight rebounds, two assists and a steal.
 
McCurnin was honored for the third time in his career as an honors court selection with a 3.82 GPA in Civil Engineering. The redshirt sophomore was named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll last season for the second time as well. In his third season on campus, McCurnin appeared in 18 games off the bench for 97 minutes and shot .400 from the floor and 1.000 from the free throw line. He scored 23 points with five assists and five rebounds and had a five-game scoring streak from January 22-February 14.
 
Pramenko, a first-year member of the program this season but a junior academically, recorded a 3.55 GPA in Mechanical Engineering. He did not see game action in the 2025-26 season and utilized a redshirt.
