GOLDEN, Colo. – As part of Homecoming festivities taking place throughout campus the first weekend of October, Colorado School of Mines Athletics is excited to announce this year's pregame tailgate and silent auction event.
 
This year's event is being jointly hosted by Mines Athletics, the Colorado School of Mines Foundation and the Mines Alumni Association.
 
Introduced in 2024 as part of the commemoration of Colorado School of Mines' 150th birthday, this year's edition of the event will be held in the Steinhauer Fieldhouse on Saturday October 3 beginning at 10 a.m. leading up to the Orediggers' contest with Black Hills State at 12 p.m. Guests are encouraged to show their Mines spirit and rep their favorite game day outfit. With the purchase of a ticket, guests will be able to enjoy endless food and drink while enjoying live music, along with a silent auction benefiting Mines Athletics featuring can't-miss and high-profile items, as well as a bounce house, face painting, and more. This event is now being held on a rotating basis with the Harry D. Campbell Oredigger Hall of Fame which has also been held on Homecoming in previous years.
 
Tickets can be purchased in advance online, or in person on the day of the event. Parking will be available in the garage located at 14th and Maple streets.
 
The silent auction will open Monday September 28 and will remain open through halftime of Saturday's football game. Funds raised through the silent auction allow for continued competition at a championship level for all Mines coaches and student-athletes. Silent auction items will include one-of-a-kind Mines Athletics apparel, gift certificates, trips, golf outings, sports memorabilia and more. Be sure to check back regularly through the week as more items will be added heading into the weekend.

Registration fees may be tax-deductible and all proceeds will directly benefit Mines Athletics and our more than 500 student-athletes.
