GOLDEN, Colo. – The Colorado School of Mines baseball team will hold walk-on tryouts this fall, but the date won't be determined until the installation of synthetic turf at Jim Darden Field is complete.
 
Walk-on tryouts are normally held in early September. However, the upgrades to Jim Darden Field will push the official date back to later in the month. Those interested in trying out for the Mines baseball team should continue to check https://minesathletics.com/sports/baseball. While waiting for the official date, tryout prospects should make sure they have a physical performed by a physician within the last six months and a completed sickle cell test.
 
Once the upgrades to Jim Darden Field are complete, dates and processes for trying out will be established and announced at www.minesathletics.com and on social media.
