Mines 2026 Cross Country Schedule
 
GOLDEN, Colo. – The Colorado School of Mines Men's and Women's Cross Country teams have locked in their 2026 schedule with the season opener just weeks away.
 
Overall, the slate features five regular-season events with three postseason competitions. Oredigger racing begins Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Roadrunners Invitational hosted by MSU Denver at Washington Park. On Friday, Sept. 25, Mines heads to Columbia, Mo., for the Gans Creek Classic hosted by the University of Missouri. The weekend of Oct. 10-11 brings back-to-back races with one group running at the FHSU Tiger Open in Hays, Kan., on Saturday, while another squad heads to the pre-national race in Lawrence, Kan., on Sunday. Mines closes the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the UCCS XC Open at Monument Valley Park North in Colorado Springs. Postseason action starts with the RMAC Championships in Rapid City, S.D., on Nov. 7. Then, it's the NCAA South Central Regional Championships in Lubbock, Texas, on Nov. 21. That's where the Oredigger men and women will have the chance to punch their respective tickets to the 2026 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships in Lawrence, Kan., on Dec. 4.
 
Mines enters the new season following a historic 2025 campaign. The Oredigger women finished second in the nation – the highest final placement in program history – while also taking third in the region and winning their first-ever RMAC team title. Mines' men were second at the RMAC championships and the regional race before finishing third in the nation. In total, the Oredigger men and women return four cross country all-Americans including Dawson Gunn, Ethan Grolnic, Emily LaMena, and Sierra Wall.
