United Soccer Coaches Top 25
 
KANSAS CITY, Mo. –  With the start of the 2026 season coming up at month's end, the United Soccer Coaches released its preseason Top 25 rankings Tuesday which saw the Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team check in at #12 in Division II ahead of the new season.
 
The Orediggers (14-2-5, 9-1-2) posted another strong season in 2025, winning their 11th Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament championship, making their 17th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship and hosting opening round action for the fourth consecutive season. Bella Campos and Natalie Rouse were both named All-Americans by the United Soccer Coaches and D2CCA while Callie Fuhr, Allie Lundgren, Kaitlyn Manalili and Afton Rasco were named All-Region selections.
 
Defending national champions Florida Tech topped the rankings followed by Cal Poly Pomona, Franklin Pierce, Washburn and Dallas Baptist in the top five. Fellow RMAC members UCCS and Colorado Mesa each received mention in the opening poll of the season as well, with the Mountain Lions checking in at #10 in the rankings while the Mavericks received votes. Week three opponents Western Washington and Chico State also appeared in the rankings, with the Vikings entering the new season at #18 and the Wildcats also receiving votes.
 
Mines begins the 2026 season with four matches at Stermole Stadium beginning August 27 when they take on Rollins. Western Oregon follows on August 30 with week two matchups against Angelo State and St. Mary's (TX) September 3 and 5.
