COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Colorado School of Mines Women's Rugby Silver (A) Team opened its season in dominant fashion Saturday, rolling past Colorado College 62-7.

Mines controlled the match from the opening whistle, combining strong attacking play with consistent defensive pressure to keep the Tigers off balance throughout the afternoon.

The Orediggers' attack continued to generate opportunities across the match, while a relentless defensive effort limited Colorado College to just seven points.

Saturday's season opener also provided an early look at a promising group of new players, many of whom made their presence felt in their first action with the team.

Following a championship-filled 2025-26 season that saw Mines capture national titles in both XVs and 7s, the Silver Team's strong opening performance provides an encouraging start to the new campaign.
