The Colorado School of Mines men's water polo team returns to action Saturday, Sept. 26, traveling to the U.S. Air Force Academy to take on Air Force.

The Orediggers enter the matchup after opening their tournament schedule with a 2-2 weekend, picking up victories over Colorado Boulder B and Colorado Mesa.

Mines showed its offensive potential in both victories, scoring 20 goals in a 20-16 win over Colorado Boulder B before closing the weekend with a convincing 16-6 victory over Colorado Mesa. Alex Noel and Keenan Melin were key contributors throughout the weekend. Noel scored six goals against Boulder B and added four against Colorado Mesa, while Melin scored four goals in each victory.

Liam Holm handled the goalkeeping duties throughout all four contests for the Orediggers. Mines will look to build on last weekend's experience as additional players return to the lineup and the team continues to settle into the season.

Saturday's matchup with Air Force provides the Orediggers with another opportunity to test themselves against regional competition and build momentum moving forward.

Mines and Air Force will meet Saturday, Sept. 26, at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
