Mines Club Baseball returns to action this weekend looking to build on its first victory of the fall as the Orediggers host Colorado State University Pueblo for a Sunday doubleheader at Long Lake Regional Park in Arvada.
The two-game set begins Sunday, Oct. 4, with first pitch scheduled for 11 a.m. Mines and CSU Pueblo will return to the field for the second game of the doubleheader at 2 p.m.
Mines enters the weekend following a three-game road series against CU Boulder in which the Orediggers captured an 11-9 victory in the opener before dropping the final two contests.
The Orediggers now turn their attention to CSU Pueblo for their first scheduled games at Long Lake Regional Park this fall. With 25 runs scored across last weekend's three games, Mines will look to keep its offense rolling while finding more consistency on the mound.
Sunday also begins an important stretch before the Orediggers take a weekend away from competition. Mines' next scheduled games come Oct. 17-18 with a three-game road series against South Dakota Mines in Rapid City.
