GOLDEN, Colo. – It was a banner day for the Bellas of the Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team in their 3-1 win over St. Mary's (TX) Saturday afternoon at Stermole Stadium.
Bella Campos repeated her performance from Thursday night with two goals and an assist, while
Bella Torres scored for the second time in as many matches as the Orediggers (3-1-0) capped off a perfect weekend at home by dispatching the Rattlers (2-1-1) to remain perfect in the all-time series.
Much like Thursday night, Mines immediately went to work in their attacking third, putting Molly Lyons to work early and often with six shots on goal in the opening 30 minutes and making things close with a few near-misses.
Bella Campos put the first goal of the afternoon up in the 35th minute when she received a pass from
Caelan DeBolt before beating the defender on her back and shooting just wide of the arc on the far side back to the near post for the early lead. Kamrynn Martinez answered back just 75 seconds later when she took the ball near midfield and dribbled ahead before shooting a long volley from around 30 yards out to the upper back corner of goal to draw even at 1-1 heading into halftime.
The Orediggers offensive pressure didn't ease up in the second half as they continued to keep Lyons busy between the pipes. In the 69th minute, it was
Bella Torres who put Mines back on top for good. After Campos won a battle for the ball out near midfield, she played ahead to Torres, who cut back inside around her defender before slipping a shot pass Lyons that deflected off the back post and in for the go-ahead score.
Campos added another goal for good measure to all but seal the win the 83rd minute. As the Rattlers pressed their attack,
Allyson Townsend managed to clear a loose ball back down the center of the field. A waiting Campos gathered up the ball and raced nearly 60 yards the other way, beating one defender in a footrace before playing through a tackle by the other to tuck a shot off Lyons and inside the near post to get to the final result of 3-1.

-After recording another brace with two goals and another assist, Campos stands with 12 points after the first two weeks of the season behind five goals and two assists; the senior now has 55 career goals as is tied for second on the all-time scoring list with Anna Evans (2010-13) while her 127 points move her past Reese McDermott (2021-24) in sole possession of third
-Torres scored her second goal of the season and her career
-The Orediggers outshot St. Mary's by a margin of 31-8 overall and 17-3 in shots on goal
-The 31 shots Saturday by the Orediggers are the most in a match this season and first performance with 30 or more shots since October 13, 2024 when they put up 34 shots at Western Colorado
-14 different players attempted a shot in the match for Mines, led by Campos with 11 shots and six shots on frame
-For the weekend, the Orediggers outshot the opposition 57-19 overall and 33-4 in shots on goal
-Mines moves to 3-0-0 in the all-time series and 2-0-0 in Golden
